Fieldwork in Chaco Culture National Historical Park, NM, US

Our trip was incredibly eye-opening, exciting, and exhausting, but in a positive way! Visiting the archeological sites in person provides me with a greater understanding of the conflict that is unraveling and what actions can be done about it. The main goal of our trip was to conduct fieldwork and that we did! Hiking mountains, dealing with sub-zero temperatures, and collecting an immense amount of video footage has been incredible experience. If you were to visit Chaco Canyon National Park, my advice would be to wake up extremely early and hike to Casa Rinconada to catch the sunset. This is when I can truly say it was about the journey, rather than the destination.
